August Students of the Month
Washington-Wilkes Middle School congratulates the Students of the Month for August. These students must have a positive attitude, a strong desire to learn, excellent behavior, and a willingness to help others. They each received a goody bag and a free meal certificate from McDonald’s. The students of the month are: Lawrence Chapman and Vernisia Lester representing 6th grade, Emanuel Aburto and Lola Hammond representing 7th grade, Rodney Binns and Lila Hosting representing 8th grade, and Tykeria Jenkins and Dharti Patel representing Connections classes.

Lexile Parent Workshop
Wilkes County Schools will be holding a parent workshop about Lexiles on September 23 at 6:00 p.m. in the WWCHS cafeteria. Parents of students in grades 3 through 12 are invited to this workshop to learn more about SRI testing and Lexile scores.

 Congratulations to Mrs. Niki Jackson, WWMS Teacher of the Year!  Mrs. Jackson teaches 7th life science and has taught at WWMS for 14 years.
